Our Roots
Here at Heritage Farm, our roots run deep...from the cotton fields and piney woods of Northwest Louisiana to the sandy hills and saltwater bays of the Florida Panhandle, we come from strong people who knew how to love and fight and farm and build. Our ancestors had faith...some in the crops, some in whiskey and some in The Good Lord...but all of them had faith in family. Our heritage is filled with lovers of the land, Pentecostal preachers, paper mill workers, and skilled builders...men and women whose resemblance we bear.
We honor those who have come before us. We feel their passion, their pain, their pursuit of better things for those they loved...even when those honest, sweat-soaked endeavors left their faces hardened by sun and tears and their dreams at times in heaps of ashes...we feel the benefit of belonging to people who gave their best with what they had been given.
And we want to do the same...give our best with what we’ve been given.
We believe in beauty for ashes, and healing oil for the pain of the past. We are people of deep faith...a family who has experienced supernatural healing in our bodies, in our relationships, and in our land. Everything we do, we do from a position of honor and healing and redemption, for our family, our land, and for others who come near through kinship, both natural and spiritual.
Yes, our roots surely run deep. We are grateful for that. As we look ahead to the future, we know we cannot grow tall and bear fruit unless we are planted by those beautiful Rivers of Living Water and unless we show homage to the men and women who have come before us.
And we do.
We humbly hope to do their passions justice; to build a bridge from those who came before to those who come after; to be a small part of something BIG going on in the earth today...bringing heaven and earth together, one family, one bit of earth, one healing word at a time.
